We celebrated our house/kitty anniversary with Indian food, Cold Stone Creamery, and movies. We watched Sleepless in Seattle and Stepmom. Stepmom always gets me teary eyed, especially the “I’ll be her past and you’ll be her future” scene – don’t remember the exact line.
I’m really struggling with this summer class. I really shouldn’t be, but I am mentally stuck and it’s making me angry. We had to do presentations, and so thankful she is understanding and gave us options. I decided to record myself and she would be the only one to view it. Pretty sure I did it wrong, and I emailed her right away. She said it was okay, that it is the first one and that she would get back to me as soon as she was done viewing it. I haven’t heard back yet and it’s making me more anxious.
It was brought to my attention the other day that my surgery was about 1 month ago (June 17th). Cannot believe it has been that long already! I had a little accident on Saturday. I slipped in the shower and in order to catch myself, I put weight on my foot and it really hurt. I took full doses of all the medications and then felt sick and ended up sleeping most of the night and the next day. It was nice catching up on sleep. So since then, I’ve been really worried about this next appointment. I really want to start walking.
On a happier note, I hopped onto the scale and I have lost 11.6 lbs since July 1st. I don’t know how accurate that is, but I’ll take it for now. I need all the motivation I can get.
My friends and I decided to hold each other accountable every week with our weight loss journeys. It is so much easier when you have buddies! With it being our first week back on the wagon, we decided our goal this week would be to track everything everyday on MyFitnessPal. We want to start off small, and tracking really helps us!
The other night we made turkey tostada bowls: ground turkey with taco seasoning, refried beans, Mexican blend cheese, tomatoes, romaine lettuce, black olives, sour cream, avocado, salsa and Tapito Hot Sauce. I’ve been craving these since we last made these a couple of weeks ago!
I tracked my meal in MFP and tried to get close to the serving as possible:
Now I just have to really sit down and meal plan for the rest of the week… We have a lot of veggies to use up before they go bad. I’m thinking:
- Chicken fajitas – to use the bell peppers
- Oven roasted chicken with carrots, zucchini, yellow squash, gteen beans, onions, and maybe get some potatoes?
- Salad – we have a lot of lettuce, cherry tomatoes and regular tomatoes.
Just need maybe two or three more meals. Any suggestions?
I decided to get back to fasting. I was doing really well a few months ago and I felt better when I did it. I logged into my app and apparently I never turned it off since I last used it… haha! #immortal
It’s time for me to purge more than just my weight. Two of my friends told me that they have purged their closets. One friend is sending her children’s clothing to their city’s huge consignment sale. I was trying to clean and organize our bedroom and realized we need to purge our closet. So maybe I can sell stuff? I need the money. I’ve also found some other items around the house that I no longer use. I’ll have to think about and plan this more…
I suppose that is all that is on my mind right now. I’m trying to blog more often, even if there isn’t a reason to. It’s nice sitting here and typing out my thoughts and reflecting on my day. 😀
