Oh man, it has been busy — the usual. I was sick with this sinus crud for 3 weeks. I am finally getting my strength back. While being sick- I’ve been working, I learned how to use a table saw (and lay down flooring!), saw Aladdin twice, stayed on top of my Statistics assignments, and we did quite a bit of house hunting…
We first decided to put house hunting on hold (his idea) since he will be going to China for 11 days and I’ll be in Texas for 5 of those days, but the other night he happened to take a peek and saw this house that was just posted 7 hours earlier. I texted our realtor and we were able to look at the house the next day.
We put in an offer yesterday, but there were 3 other similar offers, so we had to resubmit. We found out today that we got it! *gasp* I was at work when we found out, and I didn’t know if I was going to pass out or cry, lol. I felt like I had won the lottery!
The place has so many windows, a nice sized backyard, a 2 car garage, a nice open kitchen area… really everything we want. The rooms are a little on the smaller size (IMO), but that’s okay– nothing is perfect.
We are still a little stunned, a little more stressed– when we first started this home buying process, we were told closing takes about 45-60 days. They want to close in 30 days. Yikes! So yes, if everything goes smoothly, we will be homeowners by mid-July!
I cannot stop thinking about how I want to decorate the place. It is so cute! And thinking of the things we need to buy.. like a washer and dryer. They can be as expensive as $800 a piece! So crazy, lol.
Luckily, we already have a lot of furniture and dishware, etc. We aren’t in a rush to really furnish the place completely, so that’ll be easier on us. Hopefully, I will be able to post pics soon 🙂
