I forgot about the pork chops we had in the freezer until I was digging around in there. I’ve been wanting to use our air fryer more, so I found Best Damn Air Fryer Pork Chops by RecipeTeacher.
And I have to say… they were the best damn air fryer pork chops I ever had!.. Okay, so they were the first air fryer pork chops I’ve had… But I don’t think I will able to make pork chops any other way!
We doubled the ingredients because we had four chops and we used Avocado Oil Spray instead of the Olive Oil they suggested. We also didn’t use the Ground Mustard because we didn’t have any.
-
4 Pork Chops
-
4 tablespoons Brown Sugar
-
2 tablespoons Paprika
-
3 teaspoons Salt
-
3 teaspoons Black Pepper
-
1 teaspoon Onion Powder
-
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
INSTRUCTIONS
-
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. I used a fork to break up the clumps.
-
Oil both sides of each chop before dipping it in the dry mix. I used the Avocado Oil Spray and found it to work very well.
-
Generously coat both sides of each chop with the dry mix. Don’t worry, you will have enough!
-
Place the chop in your air fryer. Only one chop would fit in our air dryer at a time.
-
Cook it at 400°F for 12 minutes. Flip the chop over after 6 minutes to cook on both sides.
-
The internal temperature for pork chops need to be at least 145°F. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
We paired our chops with scalloped potatoes. So tasty! Maybe next time I’ll throw some steamed broccoli into the mix. 🙂
